Real Life Heroes Visit Forefield

To launch our new topic this week we have had lots of visits from some real life heroes in our community. On Friday all the children dresses up as real life heroes to celebrate our new topic. We were also lucky to have some visits from Crosby Fire Station and a real ambulance. The children all got to go inside the ambulance and see all of the specific equipment that can help to make people better when they are ill. They also go to go inside the fire engine and even had a go at being a firefighter using the hose to spray a target. What an exciting day. A huge thank you to all of our visitors, especially our parents who came in to tell us all about the jobs they do.

Reading for Pleasure

Over half term we asked children to review one of their favourite story books in their reading diaries and bring that book in to share with the rest of the class. It was lovely to see all of the wonderful books you have been sharing at home and we even got a chance to share some of them in class.
